Ethanol Visionary Since 1981
Early in his career, Bill saw the value of renewable energy. For the past 20 years, he has promoted and lobbied for ethanol growth as the National Corn Growers Association Ethanol Committee Chairman & President.

World promoter of Iowa products
Realizing that Iowa’s future depends on its exports, Bill has traveled with the WTO and the U.S. Grains Council promoting corn & specialty soybeans. His travels have taken him to 16 countries including Japan five times, and the UK six times.

Protector of Iowa’s Natural Resources
Iowa farmland is a priceless commodity. As a county Soil & Water Commissioner, Bill has worked in a leadership position on conservation and environmental issues.

4th Generation Iowa Farmer
Bill’s values are rooted in rural living. In 1981, he graduated from ISU with a degree in Ag Business and returned to farm with this grandfather. He later earned his MBA in 2004.

National Farm Organization Leader
State leaders in agriculture saw Bill’s potential and elected him President of both the Iowa and National Corn Growers Assocations. He was appointed by Senator Lugar to serve on the Commission on 21st Century Production Agriculture. He spent 4 years on the board of the Iowa Farm Service Agency.
